Mice - Software

Hi, I've owned the mouse mx518 for about half a year under the operating system Vista 32 bit, absolutely no problems at all.

However, I got Home Premium 64 bit as an early Christmas present, so I did an install of that.

The mx518 works fine by default. But using the latest .exe (setpoint460) I don't get past 2% during installation and then the window dissapears, giving me an error.

I ran it with admin rights, as well as compatibility mode (XP). Nothing. Can anyone help shine some light on this? I'd like my adjustable DPI for my games ASAP.

Ive had the same problem with remapping the keys and them not working in games ..ill try the steps you have to see if it is the same.

Hm, see, my mouse 4 and mouse 5 buttons work fine in windows and during games. Forward, Back, knife (cod4), grenade.. but I don't have the Setpoint software.. So I can't change my DPI settings.. mapping my buttons seem fine to me (for games), but ive haven't touched them for windows yet

Yup I can assign the keystrokes for the sensitivity buttons and they work outside of the game but not in. more forum searching is in order.. Im sure others have had this prob

Hi,

For reconfiguring the buttons for games, setting them to 'Generic Button' in SetPoint an assigning the functions in the game itself usually works.

uberoptions unlocks the tabs in Setpoint. I can't even get Setpoint software to install. Any help?

Nevermind, solved it. I deleted all the tags of "SetPoint" with regedit, and re-ran the setup.
