Just "upgraded" to this version about 3 weeks and it removed my MX518 mouse's ability to use the middle button (or any other button for that matter) as zoom.  The help file still says it's an option but it doesn't even appear in the list of "other" functions to bind where it says it should be.  I e-mailed tech support and received no response.  After reading this thread I'll try Uberoptions and see if that puts it back. 

I used the zoom feature more than any other and this really disappointed me.

Logitech:  Please at least allow us to download the older versions if you're going to pull functionality.  I lost my original CD that came with the mouse or I'd be "downgrading" in a heartbeat.  Oh and you might want to release a 4.61 version and update your help files to actually reflect your changes in the software.

Thank you, but I had the installer for version 4.40 stored and it didn't manage to fix the mess caused by v4.60.

Thanks for the link (though so far all I've gotten is a page cannot be displayed I'm sure I'll catch it up before long) and the uberOptions software.  I really like the software.  It at least gave me a work around to my issue and tons more options.  Though it still doesn't work the way it did.  I used to be able to use the wheel on my mouse to scroll though pages like normal but if I clicked the wheel button it would change the wheel function so that I could zoom in and out by rotating the wheel back and forth.  Clicking the wheel button again would cause it to go back to being a normal wheel scrolling.

With the uberOptions software I was able to bind the + to zoom in and the - to zoom out in Internet Explorer.  Which gets me by and makes me a less frustrated logitech customer.

The Zoom function you describe should be in uberOptions as well (not sure why it wasn't in SetPoint without uberOptions for you). With uberOptions, it is labeled Mouse: Zoom Set, on the Other menu.

It messed up my smart move function in my MX518, even uninstalling 4.60 and reinstalling 4.40 doesn't fix the problem. From the number of comments I think Logitech really dropped the ball on this update.

this **bleep**.....im upgraded and now no longer have the mouse tab to assign buttons or adjust the sensitivity!

running vista32 with G5 mouse.

Just out of curiosity, is Logitech going to fix this bug? or is there not going to be any action taken to fix it?

here is a possible solution....well it worked for me anyway. i use a G5 mouse in vista 32.

Please try the following steps:

1. Disable UAC.

2. Exit SetPoint by right clicking on the SetPoint icon in the taskbar and selecting "Exit".

3. Click on the Start button and type "regedit" in the run box.

4. Navigate to the following registry key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\Machine\Software\Logitech\KHAL 

5. If this key exists, delete that key only. (i deleted the 'Logitech\KHAL' part only)

6.Re-enable UAC.  

Note:You will need to repeat these steps for each user account on the system for whom the problem is visible.

and this got the missing mouse tab to show up.

I joined these forums just to echo the same things others are saying.  It screwed the button assignments I had and I can't get them back consistently.  I'm also now having trouble getting it to recognize that my game (COD4) is active so the mouse feels slow in game.  It also reversed the direction and dulled the response for the DPI on the fly change buttons as I tried to revert to older driver packs.  

QUESTION - I will go through and try more of the old packs but, what do the letters after the name stand for?  As an example there is 330.exe and 330br.exe.....I need drivers for a G5 on windows XP.  I really should have never let it update and learned from the last time a year ago that an update gave me problems.  Does Razer have these issues?  This is my 3rd logitech gaming mouse and this stuff keeps happening.
