SetPoint v3.30.165 Options Missing - Help?

[ Edited ]
I recently received a new MX Revolution as a replacement for my old MX 1000. I am having issues with the software not correction displaying all of the option that it normally should. Here, this is what the options in the SetPoint software looks like whenever I install either the new version of SetPoint downloaded from Logitech OR the old version from the installation CD:

Has anyone encountered this issue before? I am going to try uninstalling all of the Logitech software I have installed right now which consists of the SetPoint software and my G15 keyboard software in hopes that maybe it will remedy the issue.

Re: SetPoint v3.30.165 Options Missing - Help?

Sorry, please disregard this as I found my solution.

Just prior to receiving my mouse my secondary storage drive (D:\) starting acting up so I removed it from my system for diagnostics. Regardless, it contained the location of My Documents (D:\Documents) and apparently some installers/uninstallers depended upon that location. For instance, I couldn't uninstall my G15 keyboard software because it was looking for that location which presently did not exist. Apparently the SetPoint installation process had pieces that were looking for that too but did not find it and thus skipped those installations.

I remedied this issue by plugging in my USB flash drive and renaming it to D: and creating a folder there named "Documents." Afterwards, everything installed flawlessly and I noticed additional things being installed this time with SetPoint. Ba-da-bing, works great now. Sorry for the additional thread but hey, hopefully this helps someone out in the long-run.

Re: SetPoint v3.30.165 Options Missing - Help?

Sorry to cross-post here, but I'm at my wits end.

I am having the exact same problem with the 32-bit version of Vista Business. I've installed the software from the CD that came with the mouse, and the Vista 32-bit software directly from the downloads site. Several others appear to have this same problem, yet none of them have been addressed.

Anything??
This is quite frustrating for someone who specifically chooses to buy Logitech equipment, only to find out the support is horrendous. No documentation, no responses, nothing.

I have the exact same thing. Logitech is quickly losing my faith. Logitech is about to lose yet another customer.

Yes, still NO response. Nothing. No general direction, NOTHING. This is absolutely absurd. A $100 mouse, to have the left and right buttons with a scroll wheel. THE MOUSE I HAD BEFORE THIS DID THAT!

Get it together Logitech. Post something, a link, a question. You're completely ignoring all of the issues concerning the MX Revolution and Vista.

You're about to lose more customers than I think you can swallow.

(We understand your frustration but please watch the language and don't try to evade the filter. Thanks)

I actually wasn't evading a filter, I entered the ***'s myself out of kindness.

So, you're telling me you have time to look and edit my post, yet you don't have time to give a simple response?

Logitech's support is a complete joke and waste of time. I will simply return my mouse, and take my business elsewhere.

Thank You

Hi guys,

We apologize for the delay in attending to this thread. What I would suggest that you do in this instance is to perform a clean boot and then reinstall SetPoint.

Re: SetPoint v3.30.165 Options Missing - Help?

Mona - spend five minutes looking around these forums for "keyboard tab missing" or similar terms and you'll see that a clean boot simply does not solve the problem. I've done this, twice. How can all of us have the same problem? As best I can tell, the only advice I've seen from Logitech support is "clean install" and "download the latest version of Setpoint." How about someone actually work the issue? What would you suggest we do next, following a clean install (yes, in safe mode) that does NOT correct the problem?

Respectfully,

Re: SetPoint v3.30.165 Options Missing - Help?

Hello Steve,

I understand that for many of you the Clean Boot method did not fix this problem, but you should understand that it has for many others. Hence the reason why I asked you to start of with a Clean Boot first. My next question would be to determine if you have the receiver plugged in directly into the system or through a third party pass through device.
