my vx nano produces a double click when left button is pressed only once
[ Edited ]Often, my 5 month old vx nano is producing a double click when I am in fact only pressing the left button once. For example, instead of selecting a file I find myself often opening it!
The mouse is the problem because I have connected another (older) wireless mouse (Logitech v450) to my notebook and it doesnt suffer from this issue.
I tried resetting the mouse and uninstalling/reinstalling the driver without success.
I have also verified that in Windows, under folder options, I have selected the "Double Click to Open File (single click to select)" option.
Please help me find a solution, thanks!
UPDATE: I have noticed something peculiar, if i press the left button in the area towards the middle of the mouse the mouse reacts normally, no double click. The problem is concentrated towards the front of the mouse, exactly where the finger tips would be when holding the mouse. Too bad its the finger tips doing the clicking!
UPDATE #2: I have tried the mouse on a different notebook, without the setpoint software, and the problem still exists!

Hi
,
Based on what you have tried, it looks like this is a hardware issue (specifically, a worn out micro switch under the button). In this case, please e-mail Customer Support to process a warranty replacement.
