All the mice seem to work as 'pointing devices'. However you get none of the functionality that you would expect if you were using on a PC based system. That is my experience with all the Logitech mice I've bought over the years.
Annoying to say the least as their mice including the G9 I'm currently using are excellent in every respect apart from the lack of support on the Mac platform.
Very short-sighted in my opinion.
Btw I use a program called Steer mouse to get my G9 to function correctly; retarded that you have to use a third party program to get a device to function.

you have to use a program to get it to work as a pointer or the programable buttons and pointer?
