Result: LCC just displays "No Logitech device found".
LCC 2.40 sort of "worked" on the exact same setup, although it had a severe bug on my setup, preventing any reasonable configuration of the speed of the scroll wheel.
So, until Logitech fixes 2.60, I'm back to using Steermouse, which just works. Logitech, please tell me where I can claim my 18 € for buying Steermouse, because LCC obviously is crap and Logitech seems not to be able to release a version of LCC which is usable.
Regards,
hawi

ALl my settings for programs/prefs are erased.
Had to reconfig all over again, no real benefit from a user standpoint except some eye candy.

So......what ever happened to the fine folks from Logitech? Did they run and hide? Its been almost two months since this thread was started and I have seen nothing from the OP. Did he get fired and no one else knows of this thread?
According to Logitech, via email and over the phone, this thread is simply a solicitation for information. Logitech DOES NOT provide tech support in these forums. They are for customers helping customers ONLY.
I'm STILL waiting for Logitech to answer my latest round of emails. Going on 16 days now since my last email to them, and they have yet to reply.

1. I was surprised the documentation said the setting would be removed. Not a huge deal but very annoying and very un-Mac like.
2. I have notice the mouse some times stops responding for a second or so. This never happened with the previous version even when the system was under very heavy load. During that second, mouse click events are not registered, and mouse movements do not occur. It's like the mouse is completely dead for a second. I will probably revert to the previous version of the driver, if there's no other way to resolve that.
3. This is an old issue that was in previous releases and hasn't been fixed in 2.60 either. I use a non-apple keyboard, and under "System Preferences/Keyboard & Mouse/Modifier Keys..." I have the Option and Command keys switched around. Unfortunately the LCC driver does not take this into account, so the "Switch Application" action does not work for me (since it sends raw keyboard events that are translated, and trigger the wrong action).
4. When I wake the computer from sleep, I sometimes notice none of the custom buttons are working on the mouse (only left, right and scroll work). I'm able to fix this by going into System Preferences/Logitech Control Center and making a change. It then reconfigures all the buttons again, and I'm back to normal.
5. The "Sound Control/Volume : Increase" is no longer working. It's been working with 2.60 for at least a week, but decided to just stop working today. "Volume : Decrease" and "Volume : Mute" still work. And it doesn't matter what button I assign "Volume : Increase" too, it just doesn't work.
Overall, seems like quite a few bugs were introduced in this release.
MX Revolution Cordless Mouse
Mac Pro running 10.5.4
Thanks for your work on this driver.

First the positive;
* I like the interface of LCC 2.6
* Installation was smooth and simple.
* Being able to easily add new programs and assign keys specific to those programs is great. - especially good for games such as World of Warcraft.
Next, the not so good ( Configuring an MX revolution );
* Configuring the scroll wheel mouse press is *very* temperamental. Sometimes you cant click it again to reassign the click.
* Would like to be able to assign nothing to the scroll wheel button.
* Vertical scrolling issues make certain programs unusable on a mac. It has been suggested in other posts that the driver would benefit from not using the outdated APE interface
Finally; Please could a Logitich support analyst confirm any potential sideeffects of removing the LCC Scroll files:-
/Library/InputManagers/LCC Scroll Enhancer Loader
/Library/Application Support/Logitech/LCC Scroll Enhancer.bundle
/Library/ScriptingAdditions/LCC Scroll Enhancer Loader.osax
Thanks!

My original 2 KB support query to Logitech, on 10 July, after many many round trips, is now 155 KB. And I finally got an "answer", on 12 August, such as it is:
Logitech Control Center Scroll Enhancer is used to scroll, and do drag and drop.
Shall you face any problems with scrolling or dragging, please remove these files temporary:
/Library/InputManagers/LCC Scroll Enhancer Loader
/Library/Application Support/Logitech/LCC Scroll Enhancer.bundle
/Library/ScriptingAdditions/LCC Scroll Enhancer Loader.osax
After removing, everything should go as it should.
Grammatical and spelling issues aside, I have no idea what "should go as it should" means. But, FWIW, my experience has been that removing Scroll Enhancer eliminates all the LCC-caused crashes. It also eliminates mouse tracking and scrolling acceleration -- but those can be restored with products such as MouseZoom, SteerMouse, or USB Overdrive. As to "and do drag and drop", I'm not sure there. D'n'D seems to work fine so far, I think.
...Bugs me to have to disseminate this information FOR Logitech. Why can't they get off their *sses and do it themselves????? Do they honestly believe this awful tech support is generating any product sales?
HTH,
- Dan.
