As a Mac user, looking for a mouse, it seems you can do the following : buy Logitech, plus SteerMouse or USB Overdrive (older models only), no proper Logitech Mac drivers have been available for years.
Buy Microsoft, drivers working perfectly, always have, but who wants to go MS ? ![]()
Buy Razer, good luck.
Apple mice, yeah right .
Logitech, your drivers haven't been working well, and have been poorly featured since Mac OS 8. How hard can it be, when 3rd party software has been running circles around you for years ?
You are in it for the money, that's fine, but why not grow a pair, put a sticker on the box - 'Windows only' - or bundle SteerMouse with your mice for Mac users ?

I have been hesitant to update LCC software ever since it went horrible wrong once and it seems it has done it again.
With this latest update, the left click will no longer hold, for example if I'm trying to drag and drop something on the desktop, it'll drop it halfway and then click again usually selecting just the desktop. Also the left click will now double click instead single clicking sometimes.
This is very frustrating and I'm amazed how Logitech cannot make reliable OS X software for their own products.
Can anyone point me in the direction of LCC 2.2? That works fine for me.

Just purchased my wired TrackMan Wheel and updated software to LCC v2.60. Very nice product! I had been using a MS Optical trackball that would no longer work and no longer manufactured. I liked the feature of four buttons with scroll wheel and hope that Logitech might consider. I used for click, double click, and for Safari WEB browser, back and forward.
Logitech looks and feels better than the MS product and fits my palm better.
Question I have about the scroll wheel is how can I get it to scroll one page at a time? I seem to be able to scroll one line at a time or move the wheel faster to get near a page, but can’t seem to find a setting for a page at a time.
Please advise.

Macbook Pro
Mac OS 10.5.6
LCC 2.60
v450 mouse
Stutters while copying files to external drives (Time Machine or Finder file copies). Trackpad works fie during the same operation. The mouse is unusable until the copies complete.
Additionally, I have noticed that the v450 stutters a lot if the mouse is below the laptop (if i have the laptop on my lap and the mouse beside my leg). I love the mouse's design, but it's almost unusable with the current software.

LCCDaemon 2.60 has now caused a kernel panic 3 times out of total of 6 panics I've had since having the Santa Rosa 2,4 MBP for about 1+ yr. Running OS X 10.5.4.
My primary use for LCC is Logitech Desktop Mac S 530 incl. the MX600 mouse. But I also have a regular Logitech wired optical wheel mouse M-BT58 that I'm plugging in occasionally when the batteries are low or when two radio mouses can't work in close proximity. Today's panic is causing me to write the circumstances up:
- MBP was on battery
- Wired wheel mouse (see above) was USB-connected
- Miro.app (the media player) was playing a video
- I disconnected wired mouse from USB = boom-insta-kernel-panic
My primary guess is this has something to do with the wired mouse compatibility. I don't recall ever having a kernel panic disconnecting the wireless receiver. Below is the timeline of my 3 LCCDaemon kernel panics.

Hi Woody,
Love Logitech, thinks you guys make the best (specially pointer) input devices. Since having mouses and keyboards suddenly giving up on me, I always buy Logitech. I find they last longer. Never had a problem… UNTIL NOW !!!
So this is my 1st forum message here :
I've got myself a Mac + Leopard 10.5.6
, got the S530 keyboard+mouse combo, installed LCC 2.60 - Cause too slow : set scrolling to max.
But it's still too slow (ex.: 12 scrolls just to go down this "Reply" page !) and horizontal scrolling does not work [ ^ + ⇧ + scroll ]
So I tried it with my other MX1000 mouse ( which feels heavier, better quality but the clicks no longer work very well
)
LCC detection worked fine - but same results for scrolling.
What can be done ? ... I NEED IT ! PLEASE HELP ! ( Email notification will be on)
Also, I find annoying, on the S350 there are no led lights ( mouse + keyboard ) - it only blinks when reset. Is that normal?
Looks like it's not ON. The MX1000 mouse leds comes on when I move it.
+ Can't see any LED for caps lock.
+ The 'Help' key and the brightness +/- on the right side of F14 and F15 keys don't work ( tried with ⇧,⌥ and ^ )
Please reply
Thanks in advance.
PS:
About LCC GUI :
think the image size balance is weird, either the mouse image is too big, or the keyboard image too small - I can hardly see - apart that it's white - if it's the right keyboard image. I'd like to be able to view the keyboard in detail.
About general Logitech stuff :
From a leader like Logitech, and if I was a beginner, I would expect to find a complete and detailed explanation of keyboard usage, of what each key does, on the CD and your website.
BTW, while you're at it - why not make a complete keyboard layout mapping utility ? Like that 'Help' key, I could use that for some thing else…
Keep up the good job !

Logitech has been uncomfortably silent on all of these LCC 2.60 issues. I'd just like to hear someone from Logitech at least come on and say, "Sorry, we're working on it" and "here's when you can expect a software update to make it work"...
I for one am getting rather close to junking all of my Logitech mouse devices since they simply do not work reliably on OSX. Just out of principle, I'm considering putting a purchase moritorium on all Logitech pointer products at my business. Although it may only freeze the purchase of a few hundred devices, following up on my indignation may make me feel a bit better.
Logitech, your customers obviously like you, but you're being kinda dickish about these problems.

I purchased a new MX Revolution a few months ago. I quite like the mouse but the software really s-u-c-k-s. I realize that's not constructive feedback but seeing that this post was originally started 2 years ago and with many of the reported problems still unresolved one has to wonder just how serious Logitech is about improving it's products.
After months of frustration, i finally got fed-up. Today i uninstalled LCC and installed SteerMouse -- which thankfully works extremely well.
It's unfortunate that customers have to use 3rd party software, and incur an additional cost, to make your products to work properly.
