I have a Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Mouse. All of a sudden, the click sensitivity has gone a bit awry.
Every other click seems to register as a double click, opening unintended items, making it difficult to select text and just plain driving me crazy.
The Apple corded Mighty Mouse that came with the system seems to work fine.I have updated the logitech software, restarted, turned the mouse on and off, etc. No change.
Has anyone else had this problem, heard of it? Any solutions?
Running OS X 10.5.8 on a 3ghz iMac.
Thanks for any help!

I started having the same issue when I upgraded to the latest Logitech Control Center on Snow Leopard. I didn't have the problem before I upgraded the Logitech software while running Snow Leopard.
I'm using the Cordless Desktop® S 530 Laser for Mac®
I've seen many people reporting the same problem on other forums.

Well, I uninstalled the logitech control centre and went in to my prefs and deleted any orphaned prefs from the microsoft keyboard I had. then I reinstalled Logitech and restarted. All seemed to be going well, but it is starting again. I did add an application specific customisation, but I do not see how this would affect the clicking.
If I bring my hand right up on top of the mouse and click firmly on the very front of the button it seems to work more consistently, but it is not very comfortable.
seems like a logitech driver issue, as it does not happen with the apple mouse or the logitech mouse when the LCC is not installed.

MX Revolution cordless doing the same thing, I noticed since snow leopard 10.6, but in all honesty i thought i noticed some false double clicks the revision to 10.5.8 right before too.....ABSOLUTELY MADDENING in Snow leopard though. Absolutely right about clicking the mouse farther towards the back of the spine as opposed to wrapping finger all the way towards the end to click, but who has long curly fingers like that? it hurts, but somehow the click is registered more accurately....Dear Lord, please fix this like it used to be...about to go buy Apples new touch sensor mouse and STILL i Like this one better but it doesn't work anymore.

Same problem for me, with 10.5.8 before and now with 10.6.1. Still using LCC 2.7... and i will not upgrade to the new 3.1 becouse i've readed of a lot of problem here in this forum.
Now i'm wondering if Logitech considers mac users like b-serie customer. Snow leopard is out by more than 2 months and LCC seems an alfa-app...

Trying to use the mouse without the LCC software installed or any other third party drivers, and the click sensitivity seems unchanged, double clicks when left clicking links in browser, trying to highlight text, etc. Perhaps a hardware issue? not sure what it could be, any chance a Logitech rep could shed some light on the situation?

Same thing here. I think started after recent OS X patch. Tested 2 identical VX Revolution mice.
This is VERY annoying.

so perhaps, at least it is not a hardware problem, hopefully.
The problem persists whether the LCC is installed or not, and even with a third party driver like steermouse.
Could it be some sort opf conflict between the OS and the mouse directly?
I have sent this into support but heard nothing back unfortunately.

I'm having the same problem with my MX Revolution using Windows 7. I thought it might be a problem with the mouse itself so I tried using an identical mouse from my other computer and it had the same problem. Now I'm really at a loss if its happening with Snow Leopard as well. If its not the mouse and its not the OS whats going on?

I had the same problem after upgrading to 10.6 and then 10.6.1 with my MX 610. I have the same problem regardless of Logitech mouse. Interestingly I've noted that it only happens in my office account. At home when I use my personal account, on the same machine, it doesn't seem to happen. One thing that I've thought of doing, was to toss the the finder prefs but I haven't done that yet. I've noticed too that I cannot pick on a file to rename without launching it. I've had to change file names in the Get Info window - very weird. Don't have this behavior in the other account.
