I have lusted over this mouse for 2 years. I had store credit and saw it on sale, could not resist any longer, so I got it. It replaces a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0.
But I have issues on how the scroll wheel works:
1. Too sensitive - I use the scrollwheel button to open new tabs in browsers. But since its so sensitive, I miss the link I want to click constantly by scrolling unintencionally up or down. There should be a way to adjust a "dead range" or something to make the initial movement less sensitive.
2. The only way to change the ratchet setting manually I have found is by using the wheel button - I would like to set up the thumb button as the swtich, or at least a keyboard combo.
3. The side scroll doesnt center out out completely when used - It hangs a bit to the side it was last used and has too much play. It would be nice it if were more "springy".
1 and 2 can be solved via software. As for 3, I will try another one in the store to see if it is the same way.
