VX Revolution, Wi-Fi interference

[ Edited ]
My Logitech VX Revolution has real issues with my using wireless internet. If I do anything bandwidth-intensive (say, transfer speed of more than 200k/sec) mouse movement gets extremely erratic. I have tried holding down the power button to make the mouse switch channels, and have also tried setting the router (AirPort Express) to channels on opposite ends of the spectrum (tried 1, 6, 10, and 11), but the problem continues. My Bluetooth wireless mouse works absolutely fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I love this mouse, but if I can't get this resolved, I'm going to have to get rid of it.

This is on a MacBook Pro C2D running Mac OS 10.5.1.

Also, this is the second VX Revolution I've owned, and both have the same issue, so it is definitely not a defective unit.

Re: VX Revolution, Wi-Fi interference

Hi Gordon (Another Gordon here too!)

I have the exact same issue with my MX revolution. Interestingly I also have a VX Nano which on the exact same system doesn't exhibit the problems.

I only noticed it doing it in leopard I don't remember it happening in Tiger.

I'm hoping for a fix as it drives me up the wall, however seeing Logitech's support is terrible I can't see it happening.

If you have interference, using Wifi, you should use AirGrab WiFi Radar, it can help!!

Re: VX Revolution, Wi-Fi interference

I have the same interference problem with a VX Nano on Mac OS 10.5.3.

I got the Logitech VX Nano because of it's basic RDF connection, suppoed to be more reliable than Bluetooth.

Quite disappointing.

Re: VX Revolution, Wi-Fi interference

On which Mac do you have this problems?
I use VX Nano on MBP and never noticed something like that.
If you use macbooks, can you try to plug transceiver to USB port on other side of the laptop?
Probably it will be better.
