Re: VX Revolution problems with Mac

Ah you know what, I just discovered that the Logitech Control Center is not connected on my Macbook Pro (like it was on my Powerbook). So it's probably better to disable it until it supports 10.4.8.

Re: VX Revolution problems with Mac

Hi Jozero,

Thank you for your response. As stated in the download page of the LCC software, the system requirements for your system is Macintosh OS X 10.2.8 - 10.4.7 . However, our software development team are currently working on coming up with a solution for this issue. I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Actually I checked the box, which was the only information available when I paid for the mouse. On the bottom system requirements it says it works with Mac OS X 10.2.8+.

I appreciate you working on a fix, but I assume Logitech is certified Apple developer so it get the new releases of os X in advance. I am a software developer myself and understand problems arise with OS upgrades all the time, but the LEFT MOUSE button on a mouse not working is one for the books, its a ridiculous problem.

Those of us on the forum can wait for a fix, we have no choice. But I find it unhonest to continue to sell your mouse when its basic functionality doesn't even work.

Hi Jozero,

I understand how frustrating this must be for you. What I can do for you as of now is to forward your feedback to the relevant department within Logitech. I do apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Re: VX Revolution problems with Mac

Is there an estimated time on when this might be fixed?

Also my scroll wheel no longer spins nearly as free as it used to. It is clean, I cannot see anything stuck in there, is there a recommended method of cleaning it ?

thanks.

Re: VX Revolution problems with Mac

Hi Jozero,

At the moment, the release date of the fix has not yet been determined. As for the free scrolling of your VX mouse, I would suggest that you ensure that the micogear switch button is enabled. You will be able to find the switch at the bottom of the mouse.

Re: VX Revolution problems with Mac

It is set to the correct position. If I hold the mouse upside down the wheel spins freely as it should, used normally it no longer spins. I did a search on the forum and others are having the same issue. How is the wheel to be cleaned?

Re: VX Revolution problems with Mac

Hi Jozero,

There are no cleaning suggestions. Your mouse might be defective. I would suggest that you return the mouse to the point of purchase and obtain a replacement under the stipulated warranty perriod.

Re: VX Revolution problems with Mac

This ongoing problem with the VX Revolution being slow to wake up with Mac os 10.4.8 has gone on long enough for me. I will be returning it to the place of purchase and replacing it with a Kensington wireless.
How many people will you tell to try the mouse on a different system when there are several posts from DIFFERENT people with the SAME problem? It seems to me that several people with the same problem would NOT constitute a problem with THEIR hardware.
