Well, I was using the latest LCC driver (2.4? May-08) on my G5 PowerMac with Leopard 10.5.2 and I was having it completely lockup the computer. Never seen this kind of thing happen before with OSX.
Now I'm using SteerMouse and it's working fine. Why can't giant Logitech do what a single shareware developer can? Why can't they just call the guy up and give him some money to use the drivers he's made?
Of course with all the upset Logitech customers, maybe he's raking it in by getting $20 from each of them, maybe Logitech couldn't pay him enough?

1. You know you've got some rather unhappy customers when you have to list that
2. I've had the wake problem since getting the VX Revolution, contacted tech support and got nowhere, so I wouldnt suggest wasting your time. I haven't used the Steermouse software because I refuse to pay for extra software when buying a mouse for that price (at the time about THB 4,000 - about USD$100).
I pretty much use my Macbook 7 day a week, 16 hours a day and the only time, and I repeat ONLY times it has crashed is because of this VX Revolution mouse. If it wasn't for this problem, it'd be a great mouse but really a shame Logitech seems to have done nothing about this....
Thumbs down for the Logitech VX Revolution - do not buy if you're using a mac...

The very latest Logitech drivers in 10.6.2 STILL do not work properly with the VX Revolution. I have complained about this for over a year with NO help from Logitech. And I have tried 2 different VX Revolutions. The other Logitech mice work fine, so the problem is the LCC software.
The general tab will not stay up. It flashes and disappears, so I cannot do anything on that page.
see Incident: 090603-003608
There needs to be a way to escalate this.
And, I am havine no better luck with the Setpoint ddriver in Windows 7 64-bit. It does not see the mouse at all.

I have a brand new MacBook Pro 2.53 and just bought a VX Revolution to go with it. After installing the drivers from the LCC website (3 times), the computer still does not recognize the mouse. It says that No Devices Are Found. I've tried multiple USB ports (all that work with other USB devices.
What do I need to do to make the computer recognize the VX Revolution?

hi, i have the same problem.. and it seems that LGT doesn't give a sh..t.. i have VX Revolution on Snow Leopard, and the crap LCC doesn't work as well. Have also checked Steermouse and it also doesn't work.
Interessant thing is, when i connect the mouse receiver to the apple keyboard,it works under LCC, BUt if i connect the mouse direct to the MBP, it doesn't..
IT WOULD BE NICE TO TAKE A LOOK ON IT, HMM GUYS???

I have the exact same issue. I originally had a 1st generation MacBook Pro and the Revolution worked fine with it, though I quickly went to Steermouse, becasue the logtiech software seemed like crappy bloatware.
I just got a shiny new Core i7 MacBook Pro and initially all seemed fine. I decided the check out the logitech driver to see if, after a few years, it worked any better. Seemed to work great, BUT the mouse reciever was plugged into the apple keyboard USB port.
Today I am away from the home office and plugging the reciever directly into the compuer for the first time and the effing thing will not work, no matter what. It hangs the computer on gray screen at startup if the reciever is plugged in, and the computer will not recognize it at all if I wait and plug it in when the computer is running.
I've tried everything. Uninstalling the logitech driver, installing Steermouse, unsitalling Steermouse, reinstalling the logitech driver, etc etc. I plug it into a windows pc with no 3rpd party mouse drivers at all and it works fine. I plug a wired Logitech mouse into the mac, and that works fine.
THIS BLOWS.
The fact that it hangs the computer at starteup and won't work even with all drivers gone makes me wonder F is going on with this thing.
HELP!!! I like this mouse. It was effing expensive and it needs to work! ![]()
