If you're not bothered to read the whole post, the bolded text should be all that is vital.
This is extremely frustrating. There are very few entries online and the majority of them that are asking about the Anywhere MX's battery life are unanswered or responded with generic Logitech officials' answers.
Battery life is incredibly short. SetPoint, at this moment, says that my batteries are at 15% and have 3 days left. This is actually somewhat accurate compared to the estimated battery life when I first got the mouse. The mouse is marketed with months of battery life. I'd be happy with 2 months. But the reality is about two weeks.
Note that I'm using one battery at a time, although I can't imagine that it would be fixed with using two batteries at once unless the circuitry is really inefficient with one battery.
I use my mouse daily for hours for working and I switch it off when it's unused. Is the marketed life based on an hour a day or something unreasonable? Because, even so, SetPoint greatly exaggerates battery life as it quickly falls in percentage on a daily basis. I initially thought the batteries that were included were old, but even with fresh batteries in the past couple months, it eats through them at a ridiculous rate.
I'm seriously getting disappointed in Logitech. Their MX00 series, of which I've owned three, are cheap mice with poor laser technology and build quality and I thought buying a $60 mouse would be yield higher-end quality.
Anyways, thanks in advance for help.

Hello Consumed,
You should defiantly get more than two weeks out of your mouse with a fresh set of batteries. Please remove the batteries from your mouse. With the batteries removed, press and hold both of the mouse buttons for approximately 15 seconds. This will drain all of the residual power stored in the mouse causing the mouse to be reset. Install new batteries in the mouse and try again. If you still only get about two weeks out of your replacement batteries, I would recommend contacting Customer Care in your region for further assistance and a possible warranty replacement.
I hope this helps you out.
Sincerely,

I have an Anywhere MX mouse. Battery life is at best 2 weeks from a fresh set of Duracell AA alkaline batteries. I stuck with this mouse for about a year but it just costs too much in batteries. I reverted to my older worn VX Nano which uses 2 AAA batteries and I am still going after 67 days with the batteries just indicating critical. Why is the Anywhere MX so poor? It's so much worse than than the VX Nano.
I'll add that I use my mice every day and I tried turning the Anywhere MX off at night for the last couple of battery sets but there was no improvement. In contrast I never turn my VX Nano off.

I have had an MX Mouse for about a year and actually never had a battery life complaint: I think I got two weeks reliably, sometimes more. Lately it has been 1 day. So perhaps that is battery fatigue. I never had the constant 2-3 day problems that I read about on the internet.

Seriously? Two weeks is acceptable battery life? My Kensington mice last up to a year on one battery set. Why this Anywhere mouse has such a short life (and without Logitech supplying rechargeables and a charger if so) is beyond me.

My Anywhere MX on my desktop gets about 4 weeks, most time less from a single battery. Like others, I turn it off at night but that doesn't seem to help. My Dr.'s receptionist uses the same mouse and tells me that she hasn't replaced the batteries in several months.
I use the cheaper M210 with a laptop and battery seems to last for months. My son had an M210 on his desktop and tells me he has not had to change the battery in about a year.
Perhaps I'll ditch the Anywhere and get another M210 for the desktop!

Hello Dhelpard1,
I too am having the trouble with poor battery life. Will try your suggestion.
I notice that the batteries go into the mouse with positive ends in the same direction. I also notice that the mouse works with a single battery. That suggests that the batteries are in parallel.
Usually that is a bad configuration for batteries. The batteries are always slightly assymetric. The weaker battery will tend to drain the stronger. Have I got this wrong?
Thanks,
Jim

Just changed the original duracell alkaline batteries that came with the mouse; they lasted aprox. 45 days. When first started up it showed 87 days left & went down steadily after that (probably because of my heavy use). My use is pretty heavy, at 12+ hours daily on the computer (give or take a fews hours on some days).
I just replaced the duracell's with brand new, 1st time used rechargeable sanyo eneloop 1900 mAh. I had put in x2 of the batteries & it showed 36 days left of use. Once I read this forum I found out I could run this mouse on just x1 battery, so I am now using just x1 battery & now it shows that I have 34 days of use left (we'll see how true this # is).
Was hoping to get a lttle more battery life out of this mouse; otherwise, overall I'm pretty happy with the Anywhere MX mouse.

Just put in new batteries yesterday. Followed you instructions and now I have 0.7 days left. This is ridiculous! there are many complaints about this, logitech needs to fess up to the issue and fix it or give us our money back. How much energy could a mouse use!? My other mouse (M505) has had the same batteris for months.
