Awhile back I lost the receiver for my VX Nano mouse. I use it for school and leave it plugged in and figured it somehow got knocked out of my laptop. When I called Logitech about getting a replacement, I was told they did not have just the receiver but since my mouse was under warranty they would send me another mouse/receiver if I returned my unusable mouse. I did and received the new mouse. After some time, the old receiver turned up in "lost & found". I decided to plug it in but was surprised when the new mouse did not see the older receiver. My question.....are these receivers "mouse specific" and if so, is there some way to flash these to update the firmware to work with the newer(same model) mouse. It would be nice to have an extra in case this happens again........ I didnt realize how much I had grown to love this wonderful mouse until I had to do without it for the 2 week exchange.
Thanx
Chas

You can re-connect your old receiver to your new mouse via the Connect Utility that installs with SetPoint. Note that (by design) only one receiver can be connected to a mouse, so connecting to one will disconnect from the other (usually).

Thanks Richard,
That makes sense. It is good to know that the old reciever can be brought back to life with the setpoint SW. The hard part will be trying to find a good place to store it (where I wont forget) just in case this happens to me again.
Thanks for the info,
Chas
