Hi,
I have the MX400 mouse and was wondering if there is just a basic mouse driver for Win XP 32-bit and Win Vista 64-bit. Win XP defaults to a "HID compliant mouse". I don't use many of the features that come with the SetPoint mouse drivers and (last time I checked) doesn't offer just a basic driver installation. When SetPoint is installed it adds a few processes that I really don't need (since I'm not using the features).
The basic drivers are available for my Webcam Pro 9000. So why not for the mouse?
Thanks

Hi
,
Assuming you're onylinterested in the basic functions of the mouse, it will run just fine with the native Windows Drivers. No additional drivers need to be installed for this.

Functions fine but is it normal then that the laser doesn't seem to be on [at least if I title the mouse a bit to see if it's on]?
Thanks

Hi
,
The laser light utilized by the mouse is normally invisible to the human eye, so it appearing to be off is normal.

Ah. First laser mouse after a couple of opticals. :-)
