I too have had similar problems like this but i have had mine for a while and it seems to be Window's updates that stop my mouse(Logiteck Cordless Trackman Wheel) from working. In the past i have just given it a bit of time and then it would start working again but this time its been a few days. I am using Vista with all current updates.

I am having the same problem with my cordless mouse. It started to stop working a few months ago. I upgraded the software, I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it and the problem persisted. I have since moved onto a new, Windows 7 laptop, at first the mouse was fine but then developed the exact same issues as the previous machine. It will stop working, get sluggish, intermittant and then suddenly just start working again. I have changed batteries, switched usb ports, reset the reset button, nothing seems to fix this problem. To ME, and I am not an expert in any manor, it seems as if the wi-fi, the signal, the beam, what ever you call it is being corrupted by something and then it clears up and works again. I love my wireless mouse but I have to have my corded mouse on hand to plug in when the problem gets worse. So any possible solution would be appreiciated. But PLEASE, don't tell me to uninstall, reinstall, upgrade or switch USB ports, I have done all these things 100's of times. Tell me something else to correct this problem please.

Do you have any other wireless devices such as a cordless phone or wireless router in close proximity? If so shut them down to verify whether or not they are causing the interference.

With regard to your concern, unfortunately there's no manual nor a user's guide that I can send you even from our website.
What you need to do is to plug the receiver on a working USB port directly on your system. Press the connect/reset button from the receiver then press the reset/connect button at the back of the mouse.

I have the same problem. Ihave done everything mentioned here still no success. My problem is I'm a quadruplegic so I cant use any normal mouse and the trackman is the only mouse i can use, but can find a replaement either somehow South Africa never has stock or its not sold here anymore.
Anything else I can try?

I've had the same problem for years, but I really like this thing so I've stuck with it. When it quits working, I unplug the receiver for 10 seconds. After replugging it, I hold both buttons (receiver and bottom of mouse) pressed for a full minute. Then I wait 30 seconds and start alternating pressing the two buttons (receiver and mouse bottom). It then starts working again. My wife has had the newer M570 version with the unified receiver for about a year and has had no problems with it. I'm thinking about switching to that model.

I am having the same issue, my newer unit stopped working this morning. I changed batteries and it worked again for maybe ten minutes then stopped again. Frustrated, I swapped it out with another Trackman I had on another computer and moved it over. It worked fine for an hour, then nothing. The original trackman was connected to the older computer and it refused to work. In fact, the computer isn't even seeing the receiver, neither computer is. The only thing I can think is that a recent Windows update knocked them off. Thoughts?
