Hi,
I am getting soft white diagonal lines across my screen completely at random.
At that time my screen goes blank with the lines but the desktop icons are still visible in the background. This happens at random when I move the move pointer then everything comes back when I move the mouse pointer again.
Have called Toshiba Tech Support and been advised to reformat because of a possible virus. I doubt that this is my problem because I am very careful about opening email, etc. and use malware and anti virus softwares. I had the same programs and apps. Installed on my previous HP Laptop without any problems.
I'm using Win7 64 bit and my mouse is the Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser for Notebooks.
Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Ann

Is there anything that suggests that this has anything to do with your Logitech hardware? This is most unlikely, even with webcams.
You should see if there are new video drivers for your PC.
I suspect that Toshiba is just passing the buck, but you could run a virus scan using different AV software. Microsoft's is good if you don't use that already.

Thank you for your reply. I have updated all drivers incl. Bios from Toshiba. I also made sure to have the updated driver for my Logitech Mouse. Also, I ran various antivirus checkers and Malwarebytes. No problem is detected anywhere.
The problem with the diagonal stripes is very random. Sometimes it doesn't happen for a couple of days and other times many times per day. I'm not doing anything different on those days. Most often when it seems to happen is when I move my mouse sideways.
It's just very strange and I was wondering if anybody else has a problem like this.
Again, thanks for writing. I appreciate it very much!

Hi, I have replaced my Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse with my old Logitech Cordless Trackball.
The problem seems to be solved. I haven't had any diagonal lines across my screen for a long time now.
Logitech Tech Support was very helpful to direct me to the link for the updated driver for Win7 for my Laser Mouse, but it didn't seem to help.
Now I'm back with my trusty Trackball and all is well.
Again, thanks for writing. Ann
