Does MX 1100 work with nano receiver?
I would like to use full size wireless mouse with notebook and any receiver bigger then nano receiver is clumsy. I would like receiver to be part of the notebook not to put it in every time I use notebook.
Is it possible to modificate receiver or MX 1110 mouse to operate with nano receiver?
Thank you for your answer.
Best regards,
Jani

Hi
,
The MX1100 is not compatible with a Nano receiver. Presently, the only models that use this type of receiver are the VX Nano, V450 Nano and V550 Nano.

Thats totally wrong. I just received my Nano Receiver P/N 993-000136 and it works just fine.
For German speaking people:
Der Nano Receiver mit der Teilenummer 993-000136 funktioniert wunderbar mit der MX 1100 ( MX1100 ). Teilenummer der Maus P/N 810-000733
MX 1100 mit Nano Empfänger

Cj,
I apologize about the redundancy of this post however you see that there has been a subsequent post offering up the fact that you can use a nano receiver from the products listed.
That being said is there a way that you can either verify or deny the claim being made in this thread as I am also one who would like to use a nano reciever for my MX-1100 and I would be willing to buy the receiver if I was fairly confident that it would be successful.

It works perfectly.
Nano reciever + connection utility = Nano Reciever Dongled MX 1100.

I can also confirm that both the MX1100 and MX1100R (rechargeable with the USB port out front) work with the Nano receiver (VX Nano, V450 Nano and V550 Nano).
The most important thing to do is to pair it with the connection utility.
I recently bought the MX1100R and it did not work with the MX1100's [long] dongle/receiver. That was because I never used, nor had a clue about, the connection utility to re-pair it. After pairing it it worked.
I then paired them both with the Nano recveiver and they both worked fine.

I've got an MX1100 (M-RCR147, P/N 810-000733) and bought a pair of nano receivers (P/N 993-000135), one for each ThinkPad.
The connection utility took less than 10 seconds to re-pair them. If I have to re-do it when I switch laptops it won't be that big a burden, it's still better than buying a new mouse.

I too need to replace my receiver for my MX1100 as it was stolen however I'm having a difficult time trying to locate where to purchase from? Logitech parts site seems to be only in Pounds. Not US Dollars.
