G600 Gaming Mouse G-key errors.

I've had my G600 mouse for just over a month. I love the utility for gaming, but it keeps having issues. The one I'm using now is a replacement from Logitech for one that flaked out and stopped working, and now this one is acting up. At first I thought I should update the drivers, but according to the updater my mouse will not support the update so there goes that option.

The issue I'm having is that the G-Shift mode keybinds will not work on occasion. Sometimes I need to restart my computer, though sometimes it corrects itself after a few minutes. This is highly annoying and imagine this happening in the middle of a boss fight! Which it has several times. I'm not sure how much help the support will be since the only suggestion I've gotten was to update the firmware.

I do hope someone here will have an idea of what to do. Please help!

Re: G600 Gaming Mouse G-key errors.

I know that I should be patient and wait for a reply; however, it has been almost 24 hours and though several have read my post no one has taken the time to provide any feedback. It may not be the most important thing in the world for others...and yes my major issue is due to how the mouse performs in a gaming environment...but I ended up having to restart my computer four times tonight during our raid because this mouse kept acting up.

At this point I'm tempted to throw the **bleep** thing against the wall since it is doing nothing at this point to improve my gaming performance. I expect the device to work not waste my raid's time because I have to restart my computer every 15 minutes. What's worse is that this mouse is a replacement for a previously malfunctioning model (which was a replacement for a non-functioning keyboard that Logitech no longer carries).

I love the mouse when it works, but considering it seems to not work more often than work I'm lossing patience with it. Please for the love of gaming provide some feedback that will help reslove this issue!

Re: G600 Gaming Mouse G-key errors.

Hello OhMyGodHelp,

Since the G600 is failing occasionally, we can try to go through the troubleshooting below. It would help us to delete the USB ghost entries and  it also suggest a clean install of the Logitech Gaming Software. That may help us to make sure that the G600 is properly detected and that there are no other drivers or software causing interference.

1. Launch Cmd (Click Start > [search] Enter cmd)

2. Enter set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1

3. Enter devmgmt.msc [Device Manager will launch automatically].

4. In Device Manager, click View then click Show hidden devices.

5. Unplug the G600.

6. Expand the Human Interfaces Devices, Mice and Other Pointing Devices, and Universal Serial Bus controllers sections

7. Select each USB instance where the USB icon and name are grayed out (these are connections of devices that are not currently connected to the PC) and press Delete.

8. Uninstall Logitech Gaming Software.

9. Download and save the Logitech Gaming Software.

10. Reinstall Logitech Gaming Software after a clean boot.

11. Reconnect the mouse.

I hope this helps OhMyGodHelp, please let me know how it goes.

Re: G600 Gaming Mouse G-key errors.

Paulina,

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my query. So far I haven't had issues since I performed the actions you suggested; however, I haven't really had a full field test on my mouse to see if it is actually fixed. I should know more tomorrow as I will be raiding in the evening and putting a lot of stress on the mouse. I'm hopeful that this will reslove the issue, and I will post shortly after my raid with the results.

Thank you again, and I hope tomorrow will bring positive results.

Kind regards,

Unfortunately, the fix did not reslove the issue. Any further suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: G600 Gaming Mouse G-key errors.

Hello OhMyGodHelp,

We can try to use your G600 with a previous version of the software and check to see if it helps us to correct the issue. If you are running Windows 7 or a previous version of Windows please try to install LGS 8.35, or if you are running Windows 8 we could try with LGS 8.40. Please choose the download that goes with your OS bit rate from the links below.

I hope this helps OhMyGodHelp, please let me know how it goes.

Re: G600 Gaming Mouse G-key errors.

Thank you again, Paulina, for your continued efforts with this issue. I have downloaded the 8.35 for the Win7 OS and should have a full report for you after my raid tomorrow (Thursday 4/25/13) with the performance of this fix.

As always, I appreciate your guidance and I wish you the best.

Kind regards,

Re: G600 Gaming Mouse G-key errors.

My first attempt at the latest fix didn't go as well as I had hoped. I was still having occasional errors with the G15 and G16 buttons when I depressed the G-shift key during the raid on Thursday. So, I uninstalled the 8.35 version and attempted to run without the gaming software all together. Unfortunately, I continued to have issues with the G15, G16, and G17 keys.

As a last ditch effort I reinstalled the software, then reset all of the keybinds to default. Then I re-assigned each of the keybinds per my preference, and now the G15, G16, and G17 keys appear to be functioning again when I depress the G-shift key. However, I'm not sure if this is a solid state, or if it will stop working again soon. Unfortunately, the keybinds only seem to stop functioning during intense or prolonged battles where I'm using many of the buttons in quick succession.

I will know more after my raid tomorrow, and I will keep you apprised of the situation. As always, thank you Paulina for your continued efforts in resolving this matter!

Kind regards,

Re: G600 Gaming Mouse G-key errors.

I'm still having issues with the mouse. I'm really at a loss as to what to do now. It would be one thing if it was just one device that was acting  up, but this is the third logitech device I've owned that has completely flaked out on me.
