Hi there,
For a long time I've successfully used SetPoint with my MX1000 playing World of Warcraft,
To be able to utilize all mouse buttons in WoW i've set my mouse up so that most mouse buttons send a keyboard command, for example '1'.
However, since installing the new WoW expansion, Cataclysm, my settings are no longer working. No matter how I set up my keys they won't function in WoW. I've tried all combinations of settings I can think of, tinkering with Game settings and game detection but to no avail. If I leave all settings with the default setup WoW will detect mouse button 4 and 5 and the scroll wheel. If I change any of these buttons to a custom command they won't be detected at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. My Logitech mouse is really important to me when it comes to my gaming.
Regards,
Jonas

I run a Performance MX and this issue has just hit me.
For the first week or so it was working fine, then day by day it started dropping the keybinds for my mouse buttons, then yesterday it all went pear shaped and now I can only keybind one mouse button as middle button and the rest which I could configure now will not be recognised as any form of button or keystroke assignment.
I've tried various generic button configurations as well as Shift + *somethings and still no go.
I submitted an "In game ticket" (Read, someone on the GM team read from page 2 of the "Automated answers for most questions that can be asked by our stupid customers, throw in some RP at the end of your selection to make it seem like we care and you are taking the time to be personal.") and got the usual "Delete your cache, Interface and **bleep** folders and this should solve it" directions. Which of course did a grand total of nothing to solve the issue but gave me the fun of reinstalling all my add ons and hours redoing all my settings in game and remaking my custom UI's for just a few odf the 10 toons I use.
I just want to know where the problem lies, with the mouse software or if it's something Blizzard have done with WoW so I can fix the issue and get my mouse working as I had it. s currently I have an expensive mouse bought to play WoW with and I may as well just have a 5 quid one from eBay.

I have also been having issues with my Logitech Setpoint software since the release of WoW: Cataclysm. I use a MX 518 with the setpoint software so my issues have been slightly different. Basically, even though I have game detection turned off, my mouse hotkeys will randomly stop working on their own AND the other noticeable issue is that the mouse speed seems to switch from the original setting to another setting (whether this is setpoint, the OS (running XP) or WoW, I don't know but it happens maybe every 15-30 minutes or so and has gotten very irritating, as I have to open up the Logitech mouse settings window to get it to register again, its as if Setpoint and WoW are not syncing properly as they used to.
Any help or suggestions would be great, thanks!

I am having the same issue with my G5 (blue crackle finish) on Win 7 x64 and SetPoint 6.20. Whenever I press button 4 in WoW my DPI settings reset to the lowest settings. WoW also only registers three DPI presets, even when I have all five available slots configured in SetPoint.
I recently tried a G700 mouse, and it appears that while they both use the same SetPoint software download the old G5 and the newer G700 acutally use different software entirely. The G5 uses Logitech's old green themed SetPoint software, and the G700 (and I think G9x and G500) uses a new reddish themed interface that is completely different. The new software and the G700 work with WoW just fine.
That's great for people with the newer mice, but I'm hoping that Lgitech will fix this issue with their legacy mice.

i have the exact same behavior on my win7 x64 with logitech g5 (blue crackly edition). with setpoint 6.15 it works fine, reinstalled win7 and got the latest and greatest 6.20 and suddenly the forward thumb button resets sensitivity super low. un-installed setpoint and went back to 6.15 and working fine again.

I'm having the same issue. When on the standard windows driver for my G5, I see no trouble. (Win7 x64)
While playing Cata with Setpoint 6.20.50 (5.20.51), button 5 actually breaks sensitivity, brings it to its lowest, regardless of what bind I have set in WoW.
The simple solution is to uninstall SetPoint, however counter-intuitive and defeatist this may be. Ironically, I installed this to enable scroll-wheel tilt in the game.
Logitech: Please review this, it can't be part of your intent to have customers uninstall your software to get expected behavior back.
Thanks.
