I have an LX8 Cordless Laser Mouse that I purchased about a year ago, and it's been working quite well. Recently I have noticed two problems. The first is that, occasionally, if I hold my left click, it will double click. The hold isn't steady. It behaves like it has a short or something.
The second problem I have is that my thumb back/forward problems will not recognize my modifier key I set them to. The thumb back/forward buttons do, however, work. I set them to keystroke and tested them. They work fine. Am I missing something? I have no idea why they won't recognize my modifier key. I set one to shift, the other to option.
I am on OSX 10.6.8 and have the latest version of Logitech Control Center.
Thanks for any information!

Bump.
I could really just use help with the left/right thumb buttons not recognizing my modifier.
I want to set the left thumb back to shift. When I set the thumb back to modifier mode and shift, it doesn't work. However when I set it to keystroke it works just fine. I also tried setting the mode to keystroke and setting the button to shift, and that didn't work. I didn't expect it to. I could really use some help with this. Perhaps this is a bug with the latest version of LCC?

It would appear as though the whole "modifier" option doesn't even work. Great. I even tried older versions of LCC.
What a pain.
