Hi,
I have a problem with my Logitech m185 on Windows 8 Professional 32-bit on Dell Vostro 1500. The mouse doesn't work, when I plug in the nano receiver it shows up in control panel as an Unspecified device with a name "USB receiver" and when I try to update the driver is responds with a message "Windows found a driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it" "Logitech HID-compliant Cordless Mouse" "Data invalid". The problem is similar to this one:
But uninstalling the driver nor copying usb.inf into "../inf" folder helps.
Setpoint software is unable to connect to the mouse.
Mouse works perfectly on Ubuntu on the same laptop.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
zdun

Hello zdun8,
Did you install the latest drivers after uninstalling the previous one? Let's try restarting your computer>Turn the Logitech Wireless Mouse M185 off>Disconect the receiver>Once fully booted, try a different USB port>Turn the mouse on>Give the mouse a couple moments to react. Let me know how this goes.
I hope this helps!
