Re: M305 UNIFYING RECEIVER COMPATIBILITY

Hi loopingz;

  The M305 Model Number M-R0012, is not compatible with a unifying receiver.

LoJane Previously Posted:

M305's with M/N M-R0012 use receiver P/N 993-000439 OR P/N 993-000438, in order to determine which one please contact Logitech Customer Care at 1 646 454 3200,

Cheers!

Thanks for the clarification because the quoted answer was not meaningful to me...

Re: M305 UNIFYING RECEIVER COMPATIBILITY

I just purchased a K270 keyboard with the unifying receiver.

I have 2 M305 mice, neither of which seem to have the unifying logo on.

The first (and slightly older) model didn't work but the 2nd model did.

The only difference between the 2 is the codes on the USB receiver.

Re: M305 UNIFYING RECEIVER COMPATIBILITY

OK there may be another way to confirm this for sure..

Start -> All Programs

Logitech -> Mouse & Keyboard -> Mouse & Keyboard settings.

For my M305 that supports the unified receiver I have the unifying icon (a star) displayed on the left, under the Mouse Game Settings (the icon is shape of the castle peice in chess). For the mouse that doesn't seem to work with the unifying receiver I don't have the star icon at all.
Hopefully this will help people determine if their M305 is compatible with the unifying receiver.

Hello cibinlik,

If you want reconnect your M305 to the original receiver you will need to use the Logitech® Connection Utility.

Re: M305 UNIFYING RECEIVER COMPATIBILITY

the problem you would be having with that is that older mice and keyboards wont work with newer because they werent programmed to but you can use newer with the older becausethey can program the newer ones to work with the older but not vica versa hope it helps a lil bit
