M310 not recognized

[ Edited ]

I just got the m310 and it worked when i plugged it in and installed drivers.

Then a couple days later it stopped being recognized by Windows.  Seems to be an altogether not uncommon problem.

Any ideas how to get windows to recognize it again?

THx

Edit :  Its a 64-bit Windows 7 install

Re: M310 not recognized

I have an M310 with Windows 7 32bit.  The M310 was working for a couple of months then stopped.  I changed the battery and even reisntalled windows.  Setpoint can see the mouse, but the mouse can not move the cursor or perform any other function.  Setpoint can not read the battery level, but it is paired.

How can I get this to work again?

Re: M310 not recognized

I should point out that even though the ReConnect software shows that the Nano receiver is paired with the M310, it also says that the mouse is inactive and doesn't really see it at all.  Is this a broken mouse?  Can I fix it, or just throw it away?

Re: M310 not recognized

Hello mberger,

First take the batteries out of the mouse, click on all the buttons for 15 seconds to drain the capacitors, then re-insert the battery and reconnect the mouse.

If the problem persists you can try uninstalling the mouse from device manager (Start > Right click on Computer > Manage). As well I would try it on another PC to see if the problem occurs there.

Re: M310 not recognized

I just purchased an M310.

Works fine with XP.

On Win 7 - 64 works but I can't change the left and right clicker. Windows is still on an old Microsoft mouse and I can't change that.

Software will not install. Any ideas?

Thank you.

Re: M310 not recognized

I tried what you wrote above (Removing battery and hitting all buttons), and still - it won't work.

The mouse came with a keyboard which works perfectly well.
