M315 Mouse not reconnecting back to original receiver

so a friend of mine wanted to see if he could connect my mouse to his unifying receiver.

great. awesome. good. it worked.

but then later when i tried to use it with my original receiver it didnt' work. i tried to find a way to use the unyfying software on it to reconnect it back to the original reveiver, but that didn't work at all. I even tried to do the whole "kill all the energy in the mouse" thing. I pulled out the battery, switched it off, and clicked both sides of the mouse for about 30 seconds. that didn't work either.

is there possibly any way i can put this mouse back on the original receiver? i've also uninstalled the driver, uninstalled and re-installed setpoint and gotten rid of the drivers for the unifying receiver (I also disconnected it from the unifying receiver before uninstalling the drivers and software).

any help would be nice! =)

Re: M315 Mouse not reconnecting back to original receiver

Hello bfg1016,

I understand what the problem is. First, you have to unpair your Logitech M315 Mouse to the original unifying receiver.

Please follow the steps below:

Open Unifying Software > Click on the Advanced tab/button > unpair M315 > click on add a unifying device > then follow the onscreen instructions to pair your mouse.

Please let me know if this help you solved the issue.

Thank you.

Re: M315 Mouse not reconnecting back to original receiver

Hi,

I'm not the OP but have exactly the same issue, and marlonar solution does not work because the receiver on the M315 is not a unifying receiver, it's only a nano receiver, therefore the software doesn't recognize it, and can't be paired to the original receiver. I've tried a few times now, including after removing the M315 batteries and discharging by pressing both buttons.

I really need help to pair it back to the original receiver, so that I can use it again.

I hope someone can help me.

Thank you.

Re: M315 Mouse not reconnecting back to original receiver

All,

Found the answer in http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Mice-and-Pointing-Devices/cannot-connect-my-m315-mouse-help/td-p/8972...

you need to run the Connect Utility. If you have the Logitech Setpoint Software already installed, you should find the Connect Utility at C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPointP\ConnectUtility.exe.
