Mice and Pointing Devices

I have recently pruchased a m325 Wireless Mouse but as soon I plugged the Reciever into my laptop and turned the mouse on it did not work it said it installed the driver software but the mouse did not work at all i checked all the batteries were working and it was turned on i tried on different surfaces and still no function. I downloaded the uniffying software and it was not picking up the reiceiver at all. I want to know why this isnot working and how to fix this.
The machine I am using is an Asus N55S Seris running windows 7 on a 64 bit os

Hi Androx,

Would it be possible to test the mouse on a second computer just to rule out a hardware defect?
