Hello. I've had my logitech M505 for around 10-12 months. I've been using it on an HP G62 laptop for that time period without any problems. However, this past Wednesday I had built a new PC, and that's when the problems started. The mouse will randomly stop working for a few seconds and/or stutter very bad. It makes gaming very hard and frustrating. I've done tons of testing to see what this is. It still works fine in my laptop. I've tried using all the USB ports, testing the PC under stress, testing the PC while it's idle, blowing on the mouse laser, deleting and reinstalling the mouse drivers, and removing all possible devices causing interference. Same problem no matter what I do.
I'm leaning toward it being a problem with Windows 7 (64-bit) itself. My laptop is 64-bit as well, so I don't understand why it won't work. However, I wanted to ask on here first to see if there's anything that can be done. Thank you.
EDIT: Also, a side question, is there anyway the M505 can be disassembled and cleaned? The mouse wheel and buttons appear to have some dust and what-not under them, but I can not access that part of the mouse.
Solved! Go to Solution.

I've resolved the issue. Apparently, sticking the Reciever in a USB extender did the trick. No more stuttering or freezing. Weird solution but it worked.
