M510 - LCC Connection Utility won't open

[ Edited ]

I'm using a Mac with OSX 10.6.8

My mouse is working fine but I'd like to program the buttons on the side of the mouse.

I downloaded the software from the Logitech website but when I try to open the LCC Connection Utility I get a message that says: "Please connect your Logitech cordless mouse Mini Receiver in a USB port and restart this program."

I have the Mini Receiver plugged in and I've tried diffrent USB ports too.

Why can't I open the program?

Re: M510 - LCC Connection Utility won't open

Hello cubegleamer,

Since the M510 is a Unifying enabled mouse it would not use the Logitech Connection Utility, it would use the Logitech Unifying Software. This would only be used to add other Unifying devices to the receiver or pair or unpair your mouse to it's receiver.

The Logitech Control Center can be used to configure your mouse and can be downloaded from the following link:

Hi, I believe the problem being reported is that we can't get in to the Configure utility.  The button is greyed out.  See picture below.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe how silly that was.  I had to click the mouse image first.
