M525 Mouse Wheel Tip.

When working in Adobe Photoshop CS5 my M525 mouse wheel was not working properly. When I tried to increase or decrease numbers of pixels or resize text the wheel would only work when operated very quickly.

Unplugging the receiver then re-fitting did the trick. It is now working as per normal.

Re: M525 Mouse Wheel Tip.

I spoke too soon. The problem is back. I have to re-plug the receiver every time to make it operate correctly.

HELP!

Re: M525 Mouse Wheel Tip.

Hi RayWhittaker,

I see that the mouse works fine every time you re-plug it. I would try to reload the drivers for the mouse, to do that you can:

Open the Device Manager, expand the Mice and Other Pointing Devices section, right click on the Logitech mouse, select uninstall and unplug the receiver. After that restart the computer and once it boots connect the receiver to a different USB port.

Re: M525 Mouse Wheel Tip.

Hi RayWhittaker,

Is this happening only on Adobe Photoshop CS5?

I would try to reinstall the SetPoint software, to do so you need to uninstall your current version, and then download and install the latest version of SetPoint.

Once you have the latest version of SetPoint please check if Adobe Photoshop is listed under the Advanced mouse settings for specific applications in SetPoint, if it is try to adjust the scrolling wheel settings for that specific program.

If it's not there please try your mouse to see if the issue is still there. Reinstalling the software is another way to check the drivers are up to date, so this may get your mouse to work.

Hope you find this information useful.

Re: M525 Mouse Wheel Tip.

There are no programs specific operations available for the scroll wheel in Photoshop CS5.

I have re-installed all software and drivers but the problems remain.

Re: M525 Mouse Wheel Tip.

Hello RayWittaker,

As I understand it, this issue is only happening on Photoshop CS5. Since the M525 is working fine when you use it on a different software, I would recommend you to contact our Phone Support team they will be able to guide you through more specific trouble shooting and they can also verify if this is a hardware related issue.

Kind regards,
