M570 will not pair.

When I connect the unifying dongle to the computer, the system reconizes the input of the device, but I can not get the mouse to connect.

Here are a few of the things I have done.

 - I have changed the battery on the mouse, with a fresh from the pack battery.

 - I have tried on another computer with the same results.

 - The detect your device (http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support-downloads) shows the M570.

 - Uninstalled and reinstalled software.

 - When I run the unifying agent and at the step to turn on the mouse, I do so, but I never get the next button. The battery light does lite and than turns off.

Any suggestions?

Re: M570 will not pair.

Tried a different USB socket?

Turn off for a while. Then try to reconnect.

There are also some button pressing tricks you can try.

A search around here might help, until someone with a better memory steps in.

Hi frankbrunke,

As MichaelKenward mentioned you can try using a different USB port to see if this will help at all, if it does not please attempt the following steps:

1. Take the batteries out of the mouse

2. Hold down the top left and right mouse buttons for 10-15 seconds

3. Place the batteries back in the mouse

4. Test the mouse

if these suggestion do not yield any results please contact customer care for your region as this may be a hardware problem.

Re: M570 will not pair.

Wow. That's an interesting wrinkle.

Press the buttons without a battery?

What does that do technically?

Re: M570 will not pair.

Hi MichaelKenward,

What that procedure does is drain the mouse capacitor and resets the mouse to it's factory defaults.

Re: M570 will not pair.

Has anyone solved this issue?  I am having the exact same problem with my 2 month old M570. It worked one day and not the next.  I tried everything you suggested and it does not work.  Please tell me how to fix or if I can send this back to Logitech for a replacement.  Thanks.

Re: M570 will not pair.

Hello tbeta;

If you have tried everything mentioned in this thread, and you are still unable to connect your mouse.

-Change usb ports

-Remove batteries and perform capacitor drain (hit the mouse keys with the batteries removed 30 seconds)

-Replace the batteries

-Run the Unify Connection Utility Here

Please contact technical support in your region.

In North America the contact number is 1-646-454-3200.

Cheers!
