Mice and Pointing Devices

I can't get the sofware to load properly for my mouse. My computer isn't recognizing the mouse and loads several different drivers. I can use the mouse, but can't customize it to use the extra buttons. I've tried everything I can think of 3 or 4 times. Any advice? I'm running Windows XP 32 bit.

Hello bgoetz,

Please ensure that your unifying receiver is plugged directly in to your computers USB port and not in to a pass through device such as a USB hub or KVM switch.  They can interfere with communication between a mouse or keyboard and the computer.  Please click here for further information.
