IF it wasn't for the wheel on the M950 it would be a decent mouse.

Try using the scroll wheel to zoom in and out of a Google map and you wil see what I mean.

I paid $100 for this thing and the shop wont do returns because it's not broken, poor design doesn't count apparently.

So now I have to go out and buy another mouse, I can't keep using this "top of the line" M950.

I have a $20 MS mouse here that's about 8 years old & it's scroll wheel is quite good.

So why did I pay five times as much for something that has such poor design?

EDIT: After unticking "Enable Smooth Scrolling", the problem isn't as bad but no smooth scrolling which feels and looks pretty bad.

Also, unticking smooth scrolling has enabled scrolling google chrome bookmark menu. When you enable smooth scrolling you can't scroll through google chrome's bookmarks.

Its a shame you had such a bad experience, I've been pretty happy with my M950. This is actually my second (the first one was replaced because the dongle was damaged).

Thank you for amending your post with the answer on how to fix the issue. Not a lot of people do that!
