I'm trying to remap the MX1100 default DPI +/- buttons to Page up and page down, however, I'm finding that no matter what, those buttons will ALWAYS adjust DPI. It seems as if it is a hardware adjustment. Is there any way to disable that? Otherwise, I find that assigning anything to those buttons in any game is rendered useless because the 'feel' of the mouse changes with every button press.
Is this intended design or a bug?
Thanks. I've tried using uberoptions as well, no luck.

I use a VX Revolution with my laptop, and use the zoom slider to switch tabs in Firefox. It's the next greatest mouse feature since the scroll wheel. So when I bought the Wave Pro last week, I was happy to see SetPoint (already installed on my desktop) immediately recognize my shiny new hardware. The first thing I did was to set up custom actions for the MX1100, which included repurposing the DPI adjustment buttons to switch tabs in Firefox (set buttons 8 & 9 to the "Keystroke Assignment" CTRL+TAB and CTRL+Shift+TAB).
Yeah. It doesn't work. What gives? I have no need to ever adjust my mouse DPI, but I DO use the Internet frequently. On a side note, I noticed that the "Select Program" dropdown box did not appear in SetPoint after I highlighted the DPI button in the "Select Button" list, unlike when I select any of the other buttons. This is unfortunate, as I use the zoom slider (VX) for different functions depending on the program.
Don't get me wrong: I love the Wave Pro combo. For starters, the DPI button is so much more comfortable than the VX's zoom slider. But why does my single problem have to involve one of my favorite, most used features? With all the clout I can muster (as a loyal Logitech customer who's purchased three VX Revolutions, a Harmony 880 remote, a Cordless Desktop Wave Pro, a QuickCam Pro 9000, and numerous other Logitech mice over the years), I'm requesting a fix to SetPoint, or at least a convincing explanation of why the MX1100 hardware makes such a fix impossible.

This is like someones speakers dont work and I ask if they plugged it in but...
Setpoint is running?
Because if it isn't your speedadjustment buttons will ONLY just adjust the speed.

- Install the latest version of SetPoint (currently 4.72)
- Install the latest version of RLOwens' uberOptions SetPoint mod (currently 4.60.8)
- Open "uber SetPoint" and configure buttons/keys to your satisfaction. Be sure to apply all changes.
- Close SetPoint.
- Find SetPoint's "user.xml" file (in Vista, it's under C:\Users\[account name]\AppData\Roaming\Logitech\SetPoint\)
- In your text editor (Notepad works well) search for "1600"- along with the "800" on the next line, this defines your selectable DPI settings. Make both numbers the same value, save, and exit.
- Restart SetPoint.
- Live a fuller, more productive life.

Wow this is great news, just brought this mouse (not got it yet) and was worried i wouldnt be able to map them.
A question though, with uber options (which i use on my old mouse too, what a great program!!) can you bind the dpi buttons of the MX 1100 to programs or do they have to be universal?!
Thanks guys
