Im having a problem with my MX518.It only works in just one USB port.If I plug it into another port, new hard detection fails (and mouse' red light doesnt even turns on)
I tried everthing:installing old Setpoint, new Setpoint, no drivers (im not using drivers right now),disabling and enabling "USB Mouse Support" in BIOS,etc..
I tried on my laptop, and it owrks fine in all ports (without Setpoint).
I remember that I got a problem some time ago;Setpoint drivers didnt recognise my mouse, tried and tried, finally I plugged to this port and it worked.Though it was some driver conflict or something.Didnt give it importance and stayed like that, then after some time,I uninstalled the drivers because it worked better in games without them.
EDIT: Its not ports nor mouse malfuction.Ports work ok with other things (pendrivers,etc...) and mouse works in any port in Linux.
Also tried to install Setpoint (new and old versions),and they doesnt recognise my mouse!
Im using Windows XP SP3.
Thanks

Hi
,
Looks like this could be caused by a driver problem. Are your USB drivers up to date?

USB drivers?
If you mean Setpoint,I have tested several versions: 4.00,4.30,last 4.70...
I havent installed any special USB driver,Windows XP doesnt need an USB driver as far I know.

Thanks,I have sent my problem.
Another question. There is any way to fix the mouse DPI @ 1600 without drivers? Some Windows registry key maybe?
Its because every time I boot Windows, I need push the " + " key to set it@1600.
