I purhcased this mousue last August 2011 when I got my new laptop and really like it. However, over the past month it has started double clicking when click the button once.
I went to the help documents and verified that my Windows Options is set to require double clicking to open programs and folders, but this has not resolved the double clicking issue.
This double clicking occurs all over the place. For example:
1. I click on the the top of the window to move it and instead it maximized the window.
2. In solitare, where it is set to turn one card at a time. I click and it flips two cards.
3. In Outlook I click the "X" to delete the current email message and delete TWO messages instead of ONE.
Since I don't see any other helpl addressing this issue, I am now requesting help here.
Can this be fixed or do I need a new mouse?
Thank you.

Hello rcb7,
You could try using canned compressed air to clean the contacts.. You could also remove the batteries from the mouse and with the batteries removed, alternately right/left click for 30 seconds, replace the batteries and test the mouse. If possible, please try the mouse on a different computer, if the issue persists, please contact Logitech Customer Care for your region.
Best Regards,

Thank you the clicking for 30 seconds while batteries where out, worked for me when I was having the same issues. I was thinking it was a driver conflict with windows 8. Thank you regardless!
