Mouse Wheel Not Working, Cordless Click Plus

Hi,

My mouse has had this problem before. Basically the up/down motion of the wheel wont work but I can still scroll sideways. The vertical scrolling is very erratic and makes any pages with a scrollbar jump up and down. Any help?

Just incase you aint tried it, I'll reccomend that you go into the 'SetPoint' application that came with your mouse,

and then go to the wheel icon to the left of the application

and then once you have clicked that, you'll see near the top there is an option called '2. Select Program', click that and in the pull down bar you should see 'internet explorer'

now click on that, and then tweak the settings under the option 'vertical scrolling' and move the bars to the center first, and then gradually move them more towards the speed that you like for your vertical scrolling!

once you have done that, it should work OK!.

by the way, on my Logitech mouse (the MX revolution), I sometimes have to adjust the settings again, especially when I have been fiddling with other settings in the SetPoint application...

Good Luck, please let me know if that fixes the issues for you!.

Hi:smileyhappy:,

Please also try using the mouse with SetPoint uninstalled; this will verify if SetPoint is causing the problem. If the problem still persists, please try using the mouse with a different computer to confirm if it is a hardware issue.

Hi, I have removed SetPoint and tried my mouse on a different computer, but the problem still persists.

Since the problem is the same on the other PC, it must be a hardware problem with the mouse. Get the mouse replaced.

Less than 30 days since purchase, you need to exchange it where you got it.
After 30 days, you would be covered under the 3 or 5 year warranty from Logitech.
See here for RMA info. You could also e-mail Customer Support if you need help with the warranty procedure.

Cordless Click! Plus rechargeable mouse

I've been having a problem with the scrolling. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and randomly without touching the mouse it scrolls randomly.

I didn't have setpoint installed and was having this same issue and I installed it to try to fix the issue without success.

I recently upgraded to windows 7 and started noticing the scrolling issue.

Its too late for me to return my device because I don't have my receipt or box.

Any suggesstions?

Hello Powel6016,

Have you tried installing the setpoint software for win 7?

The return policy for the device would be determined by where you purchased it . You may want to call the support number for your region .
