Mice and Pointing Devices

I just bought the Logitech LS1 laser mouse for my PC running Windows 7. Before that I had an old slow mouse and the speed was set too high. I decreased the speed for all accounts but for the logon screen it's still too fast. Is there a way to change the speed settings that are used during logon.
