I have a M305. Yesterday my mouse started not working. I replaced the batteries. It works sometimes. I've tried different usb ports, updated the driver and the mouse is two feet from the receiver. I'll unplug the receiver and replug it. The computer makes the right sounds and the logitech website autodetected the mouse. Sometimes the mouse doesn't move at all. Sometimes I'll move the mouse and two seconds later it will stop. Sometimes it will work fine for a few minutes then stop. Whats up?

Hello ntester,
This type of behavior can have several causes. If you have installed more that one application that are intended to assist with control device configuration, this can cause a conflict. If possible, test the mouse on a different computer to determine if the issue is system specific or the mouse. Your next steps will depend on the outcome of testing on a different computer. If the issue followed the mouse, try using canned compressed air on the eye and test on a different surface. You could also remove the batteries from the mouse and with the batteries removed, alternately right/left click for 30 seconds, replace the batteries and test the mouse. If the issue does not follow the mouse, please disable any external USB hub, dock or pass-through device for trouble shooting purposes. Move the USB receiver to a different USB port directly into the computer. If the issue persists, please contact Logitech Customer Care for your region.
Best Regards,
