I believe I may have the opposite problem: my scroll wheel has gone from free-spinning to clicky as you scroll. I liked the free-spin better. Is this a hardware problem? Is it a setting? I had the mouse in my suitcase for a flight when the change happened.

AI have the same problem. After one day of usage the click-to-click mode is almost free-wheeling. It is unpleasant to buy an expensive mouse from a well known company as Logitech and to develop this kind of inconvenience in just one day of usage. The mouse is bought online so the inconvenience is ever bigger since it will be a challenge to convince the seller that the wheel is not working properly (after all it is spinning isn't it...). While I like the mouse I am dissapointed by the reliability of the product and frankly I expected more from a Logitech product.

I have the exact same issue, only in IE and not in Firefox, on three different computers.
Changing the click-to-click setting has no effect.
There has to be a way to fix this.
It feels weird in free spin.
Appears there is a bug in this!

Go into SetPoint, go into Wheel Settings, DESELECT Enable application-specific wheel settings. It fixed my problem with the wheel click not engaging constantly. Hope this helps.
