My M215 doesn't work with Windows 8

Hi,

 

A week ago, I bought a new laptop with Windows 8. I plugged the receiver from my M215 and my mouse works without any problems. But a couple of days ago, my mouse stop working randomly. I've tried to reinstall drivers and using the logitech connect software, sometimes that works, but only for 10 min. After 10 min, my mouse stop responding. I've checked the battery, and also the laser is still on. I saw that the M215 is compatible with Windows 8 (http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/32427#Mice).

 

I've tried the M215 on another laptop (with Windows 7) and it works perfectly.

 

Can anyone help me with this problem? Is this a Windows 8 problem, and does it help to buy a new Logitech mouse? (I doubt with the M325 one)

In order to assist you better could you please let me know the Model Number (M/N) of your M215? Also, the mouse seems to work properly since it works with Windows 7 without a problem, so could you please let me know if you downloaded any updates recently on your Windows 8 computer? Did the problem occurred after the updates?

It's the ''M-R0013''.

I'm not sure about the updates, because Windows 8 is doing updates automatically. But there is a big chance that the updates caused the problem.

 

I bought the M325 ''M-R0021'' and this mouse works perfect on my Windows 8

I have the same problem, same mouse (orignal M215), same Windows 8 and last updates were one month ago (Chrome and Java 5) and the mouse just stopped working today. I tried logitech reconnect and rebooting, removing battery of laptop, pressing start 5 times and rebooting, and used diffferent USB ports - does not work on another laptop -  should I get a new mouse?

Chill homey straight up  install by googling setpoint652_smart.exe and October 2013 Windows 8 it be working!!! The M215 mouse lives again!!!
