Mice and Pointing Devices

I just bought the Wireless Mouse and Keyboard set about 3 days ago. I haven't had any issues until now. When I turned on my computer, I tried to use my mouse and it wouldn't let me open any tabs. When I click on my "Start" menu for Windows XP, the menu pops up, then goes down. I will do that to any options-menu with the same results. I don't know what to do. I need to find that disk and maybe re-installing the program will bring me better results. What I want to know is if anyone else has had this issue, and if so, what fixed the problem?

At this point, I would appreciate if you can provide more information in regards to the optical mouse software that you are using. I would like to narrow down the possibilities of the problem you are experiencing. Appreciate your efforts in providing these details.

At the mean time, try using the optical mouse on a brighter and non replective surface and see whether it makes any differents. You can also try using different ports available on your system.

I would like to add, please provide the products details, software installed and check whether thre device works well on embedded mode. We would also appreciate if you test the devise on another system if available and provide the results in this thread.

call tech support. they're awesome.  and if they can't solve the issue for you they'll send you a replacement if you're still under your warranty (typically 5 years)
