Re: Pair two mouse to one nano receiver

The official answer is here:

If you look at the support area for the other device you get this:

But Logitech manages to confuse the issue.

If you look at the support area for the M215, you will see that they offer to sell you a unifying receiver in the spares shop, suggesting that this might work. There have also been official answers here suggesting that some devices that are not sold as unifying will work with unifying receivers.

So unless someone from Logitech steps in and  provides a definitive answer, you are left with trial and error.

Here's what I would try, with the receiver designed for the M310, run the unifying software and see if it will recognise the receiver and connect to the M215.

The first thing to look for is if the unifying software actually detects the receiver for the M310. If so, then you have a unifying receiver even if it does not have the usual logo.

If it has this, then you are half way home already.

If both devices work with the receiver, then try the same thing with the other receiver. If that works, great. If not, it might be worth buying just a unifying receiver from the spares shop. They aren't expensive and it always helps to have a spare. Actually, if you have a wireless keyboard, maybe it is a unifying device.

The bad news is that if these are unifying devices and will work only with unifying receivers, you are scuppered if the idea is to use these devices on different PCs. When a mouse is locked to a receiver, that seems to be it. There appears to be no way to get a device to work with two unifying receivers.

Maybe you are moving the PC from place to place, leaving a mouse at each place. You don't say. If that isn't the scenario,

with luck you will be able to use a unifying receiver at one end of the journey and a non-unifying receiver at the other end. But who knows if these allegedly non-unifying devices are have non-unifying receivers.

Sorry of this is confusing. Logitech makes it like that.

Re: Pair two mouse to one nano receiver

Thanks MK.

I try to test out my receiver using your recommendation. No luck there. Looks like I need to get a Unifying receiver to get it to work.

Thanks for the effort to explain..
