Performance MX double click issue

I have buyed this mouse 8 mouth ago.

 

Well, I was happy - I have used Logitech hardware for a long time...

 

Suddenly the mouse started to go crazy - It seems that was unable to contlor double clikking.

 

I checked the forum, try a lot of things - nothing seems to work.

 

I write to logitech support and I recived a mail that basically said "you will be contacted..."

 

I was never contacted again and in the meantime I discover that there was a lot of Performance MX users that were expereincin the same double click issue.

 

What’s the point in buying a mouse that costs 4 times more a normal mouse if it stop working whitin a year?

 

At this moment I was never contacted by support...

 

So I'm forced to change my idea about logitech - I've just buyed another mouse from Microsoft - at least they reply to customer's mails...

 

Well, I'm not angry, just disappointed... I really didn't expect this behavior...

 

When I was removing setpoint software i read: Will I reccomand logitech products to someone?

 

No, I think not.

Hello customer-256,

 

I see that you are having double clicking issues with your Performance Mouse MX. These are some suggestions that may help you fix this issue:

 

You could try to make sure that the battery is fully charged an that there are no other devices like a router a cordless phone or speakers near to the mouse or the receiver that may be causing interference.  FAQ: 13078

 

You could also try to reload the drivers, to do so you can open the Device Manager, expand the Mice and Other Pointer Devices Section, right click on your Logitech mouse and select uninstall. After that please unplug the mouse receiver and restart your computer. Once your computer boots up plug the receiver into a different USB port. By doing that the drivers should be automatically installed and when the process is done you should get a "Your device us ready to use" message.

I want to update this thread.

 

Even if with a little delay, I was finally contacted by an Italian support member (his name was Alessandro).

 

He was very kind and professional. He said that my mice maybe defective and suggest me to talk with the reseller. In any case he said that he would not let me alone...

 

I checked the reseller but franckly he was unable to undersand the issue as the mosue work perfectly for about an hour everytime you install it... After that it start again to behave strangely...

 

So I write again to Alessandro that immediatly ship me another mice by UPS.

 

In the meantime I was also contacted from another support specialist (present in the forum, Pau108) that asked if she can be helpfull in any way...

 

To make short a long story: now I have a new mouse and have not spend even 1 euros.... and I'm really happy, as in the meantime I have buyed a Microsoft mouse but, well, what I can say... Logitech mice are the Ferrrari of mouse...

 

Really, in the end, I was impressed by the efficency of the Logitech customer support.

 

I have used ligitech mice from when I have a commodore 64 and everytime a buy a new PC, the first thing that I do is throw away the mouse and buy a logitech one...

 

And tks to the people that have assisted me, I will continue to do that for the following PCs...

 

So, my public big TKS to Logitech for beeing so a great firm and to Alessandro and Pau108 for their professional and effective support.
