Re: Performance MX freezes intermittently

SIgh!  Too quick to comment, still facing occasional freezes, significantly less frequent than before.  Will give a better report with a full day run in the office with the mouse alone.

Re: Performance MX freezes intermittently

Performance MX works fine on a separate computer, but still freezes intermittently when paired with a K800 on a same computer.  Why is this thread marked as solved?

Re: Performance MX freezes intermittently

Hello hiong and demondo,

We have tested the K800 and the Performance MX paired to the same Unifying receiver on three different systems running Windows 7 X64 in three different environments and could not recreate the issue. We tried pairing them in different orders and used them for a few hours under each configuration . As for the issue being solved it looks like hiong marked it as solved . I would suggest that both of you call Customer Care for your region and request replacement of the receiver .

Regards,

Okay my mouse is brand new; the system is Windows 7 Pro SP1 64bit. I also have a brand new mouse on my Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 32 bit laptop. The freezing happens a lot on the 64bit system and very little on the laptop. Usually at the login and when the laptop goes to sleep.

The 64bit system it happens often; I will have to tap the left key a few times or tap the whole mouse up and down (very annoying). It was worse when I had it connected via the cable. It is a little better connected to the front USB port without the cable.

Re: Performance MX freezes intermittently

Moderators, can this thread be marked as "Not Solved", or "Open"?  It was a mistake to have marked it as "Solved".

And this problem seems to afflict quite a few customers.  Please see below thread as well.

I have managed to alleviate the problem, by turning off my Marvell Firewire and eSata in BIOS, on my Asus P8P67-M motherboard.  Not too sure was it a fluke, or it's some kind of port conflict in the first place. *shrug*

and how in the world did I mark my own thread as Solved?  I can't quite seem to figure that out...

Re: Performance MX freezes intermittently

I'm using K270 keyboard and performance MX and facing the exact same issue. May i also emphasize that using 2 receivers DO NOT solve the problem for me. k270 and marathon m705 mouse pairs up perfectly and laglessly. Using performance MX with my laptop's keyboard also has no issues. Problem occurs when both logitech keyboard and performance MX is used.

I think i might have discovered the cause of the problem. For now it seems that using 2 rear USB ports (as opposed to the front) ones will work without lag. You guys can try if it works for you...

What exactly is the difference between the front and back ports? The Installing Device driver appeared when i plugged the receiver into a different port, although i had installed it before from the front ports. Why is this so?

**Edit!**

For now it seems that the problem got solved when i plugged the receiver into the rear USB port and the Installing driver came up again. Now unifying seems to work lag-free too. I recommend you guys try all the ports you have and post back!

front or rear USB, made little difference to me.
