Mice and Pointing Devices

Just bought this mouse and like it so far. One thing I'm puzzled about however. A USB female to USB male extension cord is included which the instructions say is NOT to be used for charging. So...I have a wireless mouse and the only time I'd use a cable is for charging and they include a USB extension cable that I can't use for charging. When would I use it? Why include it?

and the answer is that the extention cord is for extending or relocating  the unified reciever for better reception.

Ah, I didn't think of that. I'm using the USB port on my monitor so it works fine. Thanks for the response.

How does that work?  I can plug in the Unifier to the cord witht the traingle , then plug THAT in to the PC/USB??
