Mice and Pointing Devices

I am having issues with my screen saver not working on two machines (work and home), you may say screensaver big deal but it also affects the monitor being turned off. In other words it doesn't.

I don't have the same hardware but I have uninstalled Setpoint on both my machines and so far screensaver is working. Only thing comman between two machines is a Cordless Trackman Wheel. Home I have a Cordless Desktop EX110 along with the Trackman Wheel (one keyboard 2 mice) and Vista 32 bit. At work I have dell wired keyboard and Trackman Wheel along with a Marble Mouse (one board two mice) and Vista 64.

Regaurdless of all that as soon as I uninstalled Setpoint my screensaver started working didn't even have to reboot after uninstal. What do you suppose is causing this? It makes it a pain at work because I need Setpoint to independantly control my Trackman Wheel and Marble Mouse. I ran a test without Setpoint for 3 days and then put it back on (on both machines). With Setpoint installed the screensaver is not working but once uninstalled it works fine.

Forgot to mention my recent install was a "clean install" according to the instructions here and I am using the latest setpoint.

Please try performing a clean install of Setpoint 4.0 instead.

Thanks for your reply, I am using 4.40 right now. I was going to test and see if this solves the problem or not. If you know this will not work let me know. Also, is the link you supplied the 32 or 64 version? I will get more testing out of the 64 version (work). Thanks again.

Thanks for the info, so far, I am using the 4.40 and everything seems fine. I am going to stick here for a bit and confirm it works. Do we know when 4.60 will be updated?

I've heard that there's a beta version of version 4.7, so it'll likely be avaiable sometime soon.

I think it is safe to say this is solved. I have had screensaver set a on minute this whole time (very annoying) and no problems to date! With version 4.40 that is.

4.70 is out and I have installed it. Same problems, so 4.70 is stringing along the same bug. I am reverting back to 4..40.
