Set Point not detecting mouse (mice) G700 & G5

Set point suddenly stopped detecting my G700 mouse. It worked one minute and allowed me to change some keybinds and literally the next minute when i reopened it to fix a bind it gave me the "Setpoint did not detect any supported devices, please check your connection." error message. I redownloaded and reinsalled Setpoint. I attempted a clean boot reinstall of set point. I tried searching manually for the driver. I used the software from a CD. I swapped out my wifes G700 and received the same error; however her mouse works fine and is detected by setpoint on her computer. (Oddly enough my G700 gives the same error on her PC as it does on mine when i swapped mice.) I tried using the mouse corded and wirelessly. I connected a G5 to my PC and recieved the same error message as well. Nothing has worked. The PC is detecting the mouse just fine, but setpoint does not.

 

I am using Windows 7 64 bit OS. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hello Christophers76,

 

Please try running your SetPoint (Start > Programs > Logitech > G9x, G500, and G700 Gaming Mice > Device Settings) with administrator rights.

If the issue persists please try the following:

 

You must be logged on as an administrator to perform these steps.

1.Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.‌  If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

2.In Device Manager, locate the device you want to update, and then double-click the device name.

3.Click the Driver tab.(Driver Provider should show Logitech)

4.Click update driver

5.Choose Browse my computer

6.Choose let me pick from  list

7.Choose the Logitech driver

At this point you may be asked to reboot the system .

I followed the steps described above and they unfortunatly did not work either. :smileysad: I'm at wits end here.

Hello Christophers76,

 

When you followed the steps posted above, did you see the Logitech driver in step 6 (Choose let me pick from  list? Did you also do this? Please try running your SetPoint (Start > Programs > Logitech > G9x, G500, and G700 Gaming Mice > Device Settings) with administrator rights.  If you are using an external hub, dock or pass-through device, please disable them for trouble shooting. The G5 mouse makes use of SetPoint (Start > Programs > Logitech > Mouse and Keyboard > Mouse and Keyboard Settings) and the G700 makes use of (Start > Programs > Logitech > G9x, G500, and G700 Gaming Mice > Device Settings. At this point you may want to contact Logitech Customer Care for your region.
