I want to use the Web-Update behind a company firewall. There is no settings for Web-Updater how to work behind the proxy server. The information from Web-Update is that I have to be contected to the Internet. I am connected but with the special proxy settings from the Internet Explorer 8. I can surf and write this message for the company net but the update function did not work.

What can I do? (I can not switch off the company firewall like a private one)

in most cases that's absolutely not necessary, since most apps accessing the internet will do so with the settings applied in IE. Ask your company's computer wiz for some support - i believe there has to be another reason.
