Scrolling in 6.20 is messed up with my VX Revolution. With smooth scrolling off, the first scroll in either direction is always half as large as the set scroll setting. If I have scrolling set to 4 lines, rotating my mouse wheel one notch scrolls 2 lines, and the second notch and thereafter scrolls 4 lines.

FYI:
PC -> running Windows XP Home Edition SP3 32 bit with all the latest updates, combined with S510 Keyboard and MX Performance mouse.
Notebook -> running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with latest updates installed, combined with VX Nano mouse
XP: After hanging during installation....after reboot my wireless S510 keyboard was no longer recognized.....there was a setpoint icon at the bottom right of my screen....but no tabs for mouse and keyboard. The mouse functions pretty ok but the only working keyboard button seems to be the one that switches between 'F' and 'Mode'. Luckily I had a wired PS2 keyboard for just in case the wireless one doesn't work.
A this moment I have the tabs back in setpoint and the wireless keyboard functions again. The only problem left is that I can't get smooth scrolling to work.
What did I do to get the tabs back?
- I filed setpoint620.exe directly under C:\
- go to Start -> Run
- type cmd and click ok to go to the command prompt
- in the cmd ox type cd.. and hit enter untill the only thing left in your screen is C:\>
- behind C:\> type Setpoint620.exe /s so you get C:\>Setpoint620.exe /s
- hit enter
- the silent run (installation) will start, setpoint installs in the background, so there will be no installation interface. In the taskmanager you will see setpoint620.exe running as well as setup.exe (2 or 3 versions)
- after setup finishes (processes stopped in task manager)
- reboot PC and login, plugin keyboard receiver in a different usb port, setpoint recognizes the keyboard, shows the keyboard tab and asks you to fill in a code to code your keyboard input
- also put the mouse reveiver in a different usb port and the mouse will be recognized as well, setpoint shows the mouse tab again.
Windows 7: Setpoint 6.20 installs without problems (setpoint wasn't installed before). Can't get smooth scrolling to work, no solution found yet.
I f anyone finds a fix for the smooth scrolling, please let me know

Thanks for that solution. All works well here now. That registry flaw seemingly introduced by Adobe even prohibited help text to appear inside the SetPoint software. Seems 6.20 was fine after all.

I had the same problem with no mouse or keyboard tabs using setpoint 6.2 with win 7 64 bit. I disabled USB 3.0 monitor in my start-up menu and now setpoint works fine.

I have spent about a week trying to find out what my problem to my computer was. Today I found out that SetPoint 6.20 is the cause.
My problem started about a week ago when in Firefox I used my assigned middle button to open tabs. The tabs opened fine, but when I left clicked any tab, nothing happened. I would the press the Windows key but this just split the screen into half for each program running. Alt+F4 closed these programs.
But pressing Windows key again did not bring up the start /program list - after about 6 times pressing the button it would show, but at the bottom the shutdown & All Programs would switch focus between each other. I moved up the list and it would continue to do this switching of focus.
If I was lucky enough to get a browser open, anything that has focus would scroll through all options in the focus areas.
In Safe Mode I cleaned my computer using SuperAntiSpy, Adaware, Spybot, Avast, clean the registry etc. Re-booted. The problem remained. In Safe Mode - went to msconfig and closed all the start up section closed some programs until I found that my problem was the logitech option.
So I uninstalled SetPoint 6.20 and uninstalled the driver for the mouse then re-booted. Windows installed basic driver, everything was fine, I though I might have had a corrupted installer, so downloaded a fresh SetPoint 6.20 and installed this from fresh. Re-booted and problem came back.
So this is the main cause of my Logitech MX 1000 laser mouse' problems, which also changed the behavious of my Microsoft keyboard.
So far I have un-installed SetPoint and sticking with default windows drivers but now I cannot used middle button to open new tabs etc.
I may have to look for a new mouse, but I have been really happy with this mouse for a long time until last week, where it is causing me lots of wasted time trying to fix something.
I have not found any resolutions anywhere on google. As far as I can see my problem seemed unique.
Could someone from logitech explain how I can get this sorted and get my mouse back to normal. I have a Windows 7 64bit computer if this helps. Any other information needed just ask. I would like to resolve this problem that SetPoint is causing

I have had similar problems with my scroll wheel. It scrolls very fast, no matter which settings I use, and it also scrolls on its own, even if I havn't touched it at all. I'm using Windows XP Professional (32 bit), and also did a clean install of Set Point 6.20. I just got a new M705 mouse, which I'm happy with otherwise. Please fix the software for the scroll wheel Logitech so that it stops scrolling to the bottom of my documents on me while I'm working. Thank you.

I recently installed an N305 wireless numeric keypad and an M510 wireless mouse. I'm using 1 unifying reciever and everything appears to be working properly. After installing the devices I went to the Logitech website, ran the self detect tool ran it and found my 2 devices. I also showed me the download for SetPoint 6.2 64-bit which I downloaded and installed. After doing that Windows tried to downlaod the proper device drivers but said no drivers could be found. While the devices still appear to be functioning the self detect tool no longer finds them. My understanding was that with SetPoint I could change key function on both my mouse and my keypad yet I don't seem to be able to do that since neither can be found by the software. I've uninstalled and re-installed the software 3 times always with the same results. When I un-install SetPoint then the self detection tool again "finds" my devices. What advantages are there to having the SetPoint software installed? Is it like the MS Intellepoint software that allows me to assign different function to the mouse buttons? If it matters I did have an MS Mouse installed on this computer but uninstalled it. In Control Panel the devices show simply as Logitech Wireless Device. Troubleshooter tries to find drivers but can't. After un-installing SetPoint Control Panel shows the Unifying reciever but neither the mouse nor the keypad and it can't find them. Any guidance anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated
