Mice and Pointing Devices

I am trying to use Setpoint 6.32 x64 (Win 7 SP1 x64) to control what the buttons do on my MX3200 mouse (from a MX3200 keyboard/mouse kit.

For some reason Setpoint does not show any options for the mouse, just "Tools settings".  Do I need to have the keyboard connected to make this work?  The keyboard died a while ago, so its not an option for me.  

I just reinstalled Win 7, so I am confident that there are no issues with the OS that is causing the problem.

Any ideas?

@mdhankins, You do not need the keyboard installed to see the mouse in SetPoint.

Both of you may need to run SetPoint as administrator.

If this does not resolve the issue, I suggest removing the current SetPoint and rolling back to setpoint480_x64.exe

or setpoint480.exe

Didn't work. Shopping for new mouse and keyboard.

I tried both running Setpoint as administrator and using setpoint 4.80 x64.  Same result as before.

Any other ideas?

I too followed the instructions with no change in the result. Now this Logitech mouse might as well be a three dollar no-name mouse.

Hello tdmeyer and mdhankins,

Do either of you have your receiver or stand connected to the computer via a PS/2 port or adaptor? If yes, please plug the receiver directly into a USB port on the system or follow the steps below.

• If you don't see a picture of the device you’re configuring in this latest version of SetPoint, check that you are connected to the internet. The device image should download automatically in the background.
• If your mouse or keyboard is connected to the PS/2 port and you want it to be recognized by SetPoint, you’ll need to activate the PS/2 driver. To do this:
  1. Open SetPoint and select the Tools tab.
  2. Click the "Install PS/2 Driver" button (if the button is unavailable, a PS/2 driver is already installed).

Did either of you install Logitech Desktop Messenger (LDM)?

If you are using an external USB hub,  pass through device or dock, please disable them for trouble shooting purposes.

no options show up in set point.

I found that version 6.22 works for me on Windows 7 64.  I'm not sure what happened, but I just noticed today that my buttons weren't working as they were before.  Something changed, and I don't know what.

Please note, I have no affiliation with this or that website.  I uninstalled 6.32, and installed 6.22.  Works great now.
